Meet Dr. Nguyen

Dr. Cathy Nguyen, D.D.S, has been a practicing dentist in the greater Chicago area – her hometown – since 2011. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from Marquette University in Milwaukee, and then a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Marquette University’s School of Dentistry. She continues her education through memberships in the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Fox River Valley Dental Society. She is an active member and has served as president of the Elgin Dental Study Club. She also enjoys regularly taking continuing education courses. Dr. Nguyen has received awards from the Quintessence Publishing Company and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry for outstanding achievement academically and clinically.

As a calm, compassionate, and efficient dentist, Dr. Nguyen is passionate about providing personalized comprehensive care to her patients. She cherishes forming relationships with each patient while working with them to achieve healthy and beautiful smiles. She enjoys restorative and pediatric dentistry the most – she can calm an anxious child or ease a fearful patient because she is an effective and compassionate communicator. 

When not working, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with her husband Pete and her daughters Helen and Hannah. She also enjoys baking, gardening, and focusing on whole body health. She loves celebrating the changing seasons of the Midwest with her family and friends. Dr. Nguyen has also spent her free time volunteering for Dentist with a Heart, Head Start, Give Kids a Smile, and the Wisconsin Mission of Mercy. She is excited to meet and care for the patients of Glen Ellyn Dentistry.
